Dublin Street Style – Black with a splash!

Ragsbox took the cold streets of Dublin last weekend to check out Dublin Street Style, what the people of Dublin were wearing. This is who we found:

James Hanley and his dog Flee were spotted just off South William Street. James had a full black ensemble with a bright patterned purple scarf which gave it some personality. His dog Flee was keeping warm in a pretty stylish number too! James is an Irish painter you might recognise, you can check out his work at www.jameshanley.net

IMG_5918Niamh Kearns was spotted in the lab at N.C.A.D. Niamh shows how black is always a winner when picking your Dublin Street Style outfit. When used in the right way black can show personality and always has an element of chicness to it. Her favourite places to shop are COS, TopShop and Asos. Her jacket is Michael Kors and her dress is COS. Her black New Balance are a cool addition.

IMG_5935Paul Love from the UK pulled off a look that had quite a few statement pieces [scarf, jacket and boots] that worked really well together. TK Maxx was one of his favourites for finding deals.

IMG_5921Gail, a salon owner, gave off a real quirky style which we loved! With an Urban Outfitter jacket, Top Shop dress and Walford tights she showed you can shop around everywhere to create your own personal look. Her H&M stud ankle boots topped off this street look. No black – fair play!

IMG_5923We spotted Hannah, manager at Jo Burger http://www.joburger.ie/, in her amazing yellow printed coat. Bang on trend with this bold colour for Dublin Street Style. The whole look really showed that more of us need to bring a bit of colour to our wardrobe and to the streets of Dublin. But of course a cool black scarf finished off the look. The Coat is Desigual http://www.desigual.com which she bought in Jersey Gardens, New York.

Socialite and Top IT recruiter Dubliner Keith McLelland was spotted outside George’s Arcade. His grey coat was really the staple piece that pulled the whole look together and he combined it well with a low cut black t-shirt. Grey is the new black with more and more people wearing this colour. His coat is from Benetton.

IMG_5927Noel was spotted walking down Drury Street. This look again shows how colour can really turn an understated, cool outfit into something with a little more personality. Noel’s slick black boots, country coat and brown bag were spot on. His mustard yellow pants made his look, they are from TK Maxx. Dublin Street Style at its best.
